Heavy drops beat down on the earth, soaking it and turning the flush terrain into
a mud-soaked field. The blonde falls, his elbows scraping the softened earth with
the momentum of his bodyweight, his face is covered in the brown gunk that the
dirt has become, but blind instinct keeps him pushing forward, terror forcing his
every move despite physical exhaustion. It starts as a desperate crawl, and then
he pulls himself to his feet, and deafly begins to run again. His chest heaves with
effort, and his entire bruised body cries out in protest, he lets out a small cry as he
collides with something, it feels rough, but his mind doesn’t register what the
object is, only that it’s in his way. He stumbles back from it and takes off again, his
face burning, the metallic taste of blood reaches his lips and once again he does
nothing.  All that matters is getting away, he has to escape, he has to get away.
All that crosses his mind is returning to the arms of that one person. Feeling those
arms around him one more time, making the world disappear with whispered
words.
Icy fingers grip the teen’s shirt and what color he had to his skin blanches
immediately. No! He feels his lungs tighten as he attempted to force out a
scream, but only the sound of thunder reached his ears.  No, no no! Please,
someone, anyone!
Drabble in the horror section... I realize I haven't posted like, any of my prose here in awhile. (For a variety of reasons.)
But that could be because it all SUCKS lately. =_=;;; I'm having awful writer's block.
(My sincerest apologies to all of you who faithfully await the continuations of my stories)
Anyways, I'm working on intensifying my scenes. I want you guys to BE THERE, like I am... and I have a hard time doing that...
Critique plz? 8D

Your use of emotive language was very effective. I enjoyed reading this.
